Downlink Automation


CTI has combinations of hardware and software available to implement complete automation of the downlinking process. Our systems will automatically perform the following functions on a time-scheduled basis:
  • Point the antenna. Any antenna, new or old can be controlled.
  • Tune the satellite receivers. The popular MT-830 and MT-930 receivers along with any type that has remote control capability can be controlled.
  • Control the routing switcher. Large and small switchers can be controlled with our software.
  • Operate the tape machines. We have interfaces available for several models of Sony and other commonly used tape machines.

All functions are scheduled and controlled from easy-to-use screens on a PC.

The system eliminates the need for operators to be scheduled for third shift downlinks, enhances productivity, and helps eliminate operational errors.
