CTI-510 Control System Description

The CTI-510 Pan/Tilt Control System is a standard product for controlling a wide variety of pan/tilt heads.

A RS-232 or EIA-422/485 computer interface is included in the standard unit.

Input power voltages may be 115 VAC, 230 VAC, 12 VDC, and 24 VDC.

Camera or other payload control can use a second RS-232 or EIA-422/485 port.

Remote control utilizes dial-up or leased phone lines, fiber optic links, or microwave links.

Camera/Lens control modules are available.

Precision positioning applications use encoders with resolutions up to 0.025 °.

TowerCam configurations include camera, lens, weather-tight enclosure, pan/tilt head, CTI-510 controller, modems, and software to run on a customer-furnished PC.

ENG remote site control configurations include interfaces with new or existing pedestals, antenna feed control, and setting receiver parameters.  AGC voltages or other analog/digital parameters are returned to the control location for monitoring.

Windows software packages are available for towercam, ENG, solar tracking, and other applications.

Customized local and remote control systems can be supplied.  Systems providing monitoring and control of ancillary equipment can be furnished.

We have furnished control system for applications and equipment ranging from night vision surveillance, thermal imaging, visible light cameras, and antennas.

Configurations are available for controlling from one to eight or more heads.

Position sensing uses potentiometers for the less precise applications.  Optical shaft encoders are used to provide high precision positioning.

Output voltages available include 12 VDC, 24 VDC, and 115 VDC.

User interfaces may be with a keyboard/mouse on a PC, touchscreen, or a CTI-510-DUI (Desktop User Interface).  The DUI can be configured for a joystick, keypad, and LCD display or any combination of these items.
