The REMOTE SITE MONITORING AND CONTROL OPTION for the CTI-850 Satellite Antenna Control System provides an inexpensive means of monitoring and controlling peripheral devices located at remote antenna sites.  This option is available as an add-on to any CTI-850 Satellite Antenna Controller running the ComSched for Windows software package.

 

 

 

 

 

 

THIS PACKAGE CAN BE USED TO CONTROL AND MONITOR A VARIETY OF DEVICES AND PARAMETERS:
·        Indoor air temperature.
·        Weather conditions (wind velocity, wind direction, outdoor air temperature, wind-chill factor, etc.).
·        Air-conditioning and heating equipment.
·        Door, window, and gate sensors.
·        Receiver AGC voltages.
·        Standby generators.
·        Fuel-tank levels.
·        Security lighting. 
 
IN SHORT:
·       Any device can be controlled that requires either a contact closure or a TTL voltage.
·        Any device can be monitored that  can provide a contact closure, a series of closures, or an analog voltage.  
 
THE SYSTEM INCLUDES:
·        ComSched for Windows software upgrade to include monitoring (price does not include ComSched for Windows  basic software package).
·        Two I/O cards installed in the CTI-850 Control Unit.
·        External terminal block to facilitate connection of user-supplied sensors and wiring.

FEATURES:  
This option provides the following remote-site monitoring and control functions:  
      ·        Eight Analog Inputs.  Available voltage ranges are:
             -5 to +5 volts DC
         -10 to +10 volts DC
             0 to +10 volts DC
       ·        Three 16-bit Digital Counters.
       ·        Three Digital Output Lines.
       ·        Sixteen Form C Electromechanical Relays

·        Sixteen Digital Input Lines (insulated to 500 volts).

 At the Local Site,  two screens in ComSched for Windows provide the following capabilities:
       ·        The REMOTE SITE CONTROL SCREEN allows the user to control the digital output lines and relays in any desired sequence.  Each function can be assigned a descriptive name in a configuration screen.
       ·        The REMOTE SITE MONITOR SCREEN allows the user to monitor the analog voltage, counter, and digital inputs.  If desired, alarms can be set to indicate:
-         The presence or absence of any digital signal.
-         An out-of-range condition for any counter value.
-         An out-of-range condition for any analog signal.
Each function can be assigned a descriptive name in a configuration screen.   Each alarm can be named and set to alert the operator by a text message, a “beep”, or both.

REMOTE SITE SENSORS:
All remote-site sensors and associated wiring are normally provided by the user.  User-installed wiring is connected to the CTI-850 antenna controller at a series of terminal blocks.
